ARTEMISIA - 2007 / LION MUSIC

"If you’re searching for an original progressive metal album with lots of things to discover and getting better each time you fork some time out to listen to it, then search no further, as this “Artemisia” will fulfil even your wildest dreams. A grower …"
www.rockreport.be

"This is a wonderful disc that is enriched with luscious dynamics, beautiful singing and an all around environment that is positive and bursting with energy. It’s a pleasant surprise and something that I will be spinning in my player for some time to come. A true prog rock/metal essential."
Joe Florez @ www.live4metal.com

"For me they are producing music ahead of the latest by Dream Theater."
Jason Ritchie @ www.getreadytorock.com

"Man darf auf eine Tour und ein schnelles drittes Album hoffen, denn in dieser Besetzung sind SUN CAGED für mich DIE Hoffnung im progressiven Sektor."
Holger Andrae @ www.powermetal.de

"Superb production, ...fans of Superior, VandenPlas, early Dream Theater, Dreamtide,... will enjoy this release to the extreme!"
metaltoinfinity.com

"Sun Caged is definitely it's own identity, mixing melody with technical brilliance, and heaviness of metal with the ambitious aspects of progressive music, yet all in a balance that weaves each nuance together for a very satisfying sound."
MJBrady @ www.proggnosis.com

"Daumen hoch für ein klasse Album!"
Ralf Ruhenstroth @ www.rocktimes.de

"Praise for new singer Paul Adrian Villarreal, as his delivery and passion is second to none, forceful one minute, enigmatic and thoughtful the next, a stunning performance from start to finish."
Ian Johnson @ www.aordreamzones.com

"Founder and guitarist Marcel Coenen once again displays his genius for writing interesting and intricate riffs with creative solos integrated brilliantly rather than showcased as the main event."
Neal Woodall @ Detritus Magazine

"Sun Caged do the almost impossible in making a silly-named near instrumental (Engelbert the Inchworm) into an appealing and worthwhile piece of work."
Simon Bray @ hardrockhouse.com

"The tight drumming by Roel Van Helden (this guy is amazing!) and intricate bass lines by Roel Vink plow through odd-time signatures only to be capped by Kroon's tasty synth dynamics….The production is amazing, very warm and crisp, and the melodies are certainly going to appeal to many a listener."
Murat Batmaz @ www.seaoftranquility.org

"Rene Kroon does a more than good job in creating the right atmosphere and knows when the song needs a more mystic turn to lure the listener inside the compositions…Great rhythms, complex arrangements, beautiful melodies, amazing drumwork. SUN CAGED is on the right path and any Progressive fan should check out "Artemisia"."
ThoughtsOfMetal Magazine

"Artemisia is a flawless album in the darkwave progressive realm, proving that Sun Caged strikes with major might within the world of thought provoking music."
