State your name, middlename and nickname

 Marcel Martinus Anna Coenen, I do not have a nickname, in the past people used to call me names, but currently nobody calls me different then just Marcel.
What instrument(s) do you play, and how long have you been doing that?

I play the guitar since I got 11 years old, I was always interested in Music, when I was a little kid I was always moving on music and singing along. I once made from a piece of wood a guitar without strings, just as a one piece of wood in the shape of a guitar and I was always playbacking, then my mom decided to buy me a real guitar when I turned eleven. I also play a little bit drums and I am able to program keyboards and drum patterns in computer software so I can write my songs and ideas.
What do you do for a living?

I teach guitar at a music store in The Netherlands and at my home. I used to work a lot in the past and had jobs in the IT business. I also produce bands and other artists and I play on a lot of projects and other artists CD's.
What’s your shoe-size?

In between 42 and 43, depends on the shoe itself ;)

Do you have any other bands/projects besides playing in Sun Caged?

I also play in the 80's Metal coverband Stormrider and the Joe Satriani tribute band Time Machine. I recently also started a band named System Pilot with ex-Lemur Voice keyboardist Franck Faber and Sun Caged drummer Roel Van Helden. The style of this band is coversongs from rockbands in the 70's and 80's. I also have an instrumental project with drummer Hans In T Zandt and bassist Barend Courbois. Besides these bands I also have my solo career and released two CD's and one Live-DVD so far.

Do you have any other hobbies besides making music?

I like to cook ! Cooking Thai food and recently mexican food is my favorite, and ofcourse Greek food ! I also like to work on websites (like this one !) and I love to go out and visit concerts of other bands in my region. Sometimes I am also in the mood for a good movie or to go to a theme park. On the computer I also like Video-Editing.
Do you also think René makes really bad jokes?

He really wins it from me yes !!!!
What would you like to achieve with Sun Caged?

To make the best music we can from our hearts, and so that I feel total satisfaction from that. If people also like to hear it is a plus ! I hope the band gets the recognition it deserves, we will work our asses off to create the music we want to create in the best possible way.
