Hans In 'T Zandt - Drums

  

Having started at the tender age of 8 years old with mom´s knitting needles hitting on pillows and with even more persistence and endurance than talent Hans immersed himself in music and drumming. 

After some 15 years of playing by heart and ears along with a heavy dose of stage experience he felt it was time to learn from the greats of the earth like Joe Porcaro, Dave Weckl, Bruce Becker, Jim Chapin for which he moved to Los Angeles where he also attended the Los Angeles Music Academy and was taught by Mike Shapiro, Mark Schulman, Mike Packer, Sherman Ferguson, Aaron Serfaty, Tony Inzalaco, Ralph Humphrey and Jerry Steinholz. 

What drives him is to play music with a no guts no glory attitude which he feels is what music is all about, anyway. So whether it be double bass, ghostnotes, brushes, latin, funk, jazz or a 6 lbs steak: he hitz it!

Hans teaches drums at the Drummers Institute in Düsseldorf, Germany and his own drumschool called The Rhythm Syndicate in Venlo, The Netherlands.

Hans also plays in the bands Vengeance, Cooper Inc., Chinawhite and Parris, and he also plays sessions for amongst others Steve Fister.
